- On 17 May 2024, a gun attack occurred in central Afghanistan, resulting in casualties, including foreign tourists.
- In August 2021, there was regime change in Afghanistan. On 26 August 2021, two large explosions were reported at the area of Kabul's airport, resulting in casualties. The security situation there is highly volatile.
- Residents should avoid all travel to the country. Those already there should attend to personal safety.
