  • In mid February 2014, two suicide bomb explosions in the southern suburbs of Beirut caused at least 8 deaths and over 100 injuries.
  • In mid January 2014, a car bomb exploded in the north eastern town of Hermel, resulting in serious casualties.
  • In early January 2014, a car bomb exploded in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in serious casualties.
  • In May 2013, there were 2 rocket attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut. In June 2013, violent clashes occurred in the southern city of Sidon. In July and August 2013, car bombs exploded in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and explosions also occurred in Tripoli in August. In November 2013, two suicide bomb explosions happened outside the Iranian Embassy in Beirut. In December 2013, a car bomb exploded in Beirut. These incidents resulted in serious casualties.
  • In April 2012, an explosion in Tyre resulted in injuries. In May 2012, violent clashes occurred in Tripoli and parts of Beirut. In October 2012, a car bomb explosion in the Achrafieh district of Beirut resulted in casualties. Numerous roads throughout Lebanon, including the airport highway, were subject to sporadic closures.
  • In mid May 2011, demonstrations on the Lebanese and Israeli border. In June 2011, violent clashes in the city of Tripoli resulted in casualties.
